A Few Luscious Treatments You Must Try!
Homemade Skin Toner: Whip up a toner by mixing 1/4 cup no-sugar-added fresh apple juice (fresh pear juice works equally well) and 4 tablespoons witch hazel. Refrigerate in an air-tight container, and apply with a cotton ball.
Deep Cleansing Mask: Carrots, which are rich in Vitamin A have the incredible benefits of helping maintain glowing, healthy skin. Mix 2 tablespoons each of fresh carrot juice and white clay (sold at natural-food stores or the health-food section of some supermarkets). Then spread the smooth paste on your face; let rest for 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water, followed by a splash of cold.
Deep Conditioning Treatment: Those with dry, frizzy hair have been using mayonaisse for years now. But we have an even better suggestion: Avacados. By simply blending one whole avacado and 2 tbs of mayonnaise or some mashed ripe banana, you can give your hair the amazing conditioning treatment it needs. Massage into clean, dry hair and cover with shower cap. Wash with warm water and a light shampoo after about 10 to 20 minutes depending on hair texture.
Condition Cuticles: Use none other than Olive Oil to condition cuticles in between visits the the nail salon. We recommend a drop or two of olive oil on each nail and then using your fingers to gently push back the cuticle skin. Overtime this has the effect of lengthening the nail bed, for longer looking, more beautiful nails.
Whiten teeth: Strawberries are the newest teeth whiten secret hitting men and women all over. Rich in salicylic acid, Strawberries are incredibly easy-to-use tooth-whiteners. Just pop a few into your diet for gorgeous, whitened teeth and as a delicious snack
Oily Skin: Got Oily, Acneic Prone Skin? Or just have a shiny to your T zone that you want to rid of? Try Strawberries. These pretty red berries are a great astringent on their own. If you have oily skin, cut a strawberry in half, rub it gently on your face and rinse; if your skin is more sensitive, mash with a fork, apply for a minute or so and rinse.
Freshening Facial: My personal favorite at home treatment can be used in 2 incredibly refreshing ways:
1. Take 1 large cucumber and grate it into finely cut pieces. Place in refrigerator for at least 1 hour. On a dry, clean face, place the cucumbers on your face, (a slight tingling sensation will occurr) and leave on for 5 to 10 minutes. This will give your face the most incredible, clean and fresh feeling.
2. Using Plain NonFat Yogurt. I like to use about a scoop of Yogurt on my face when I feel like my skin needs a fresh, at home facial. it is the perfect way to keep up with my beauty regimen when I dont have time to get out of the house. place a layer of yogurt all over the face. Let dry 5 -10 minutes. Rinse with warm water. I prefer doing this right before a shower as it does have the tendency to get a little messy.
Oily Skin & Acne: Get gorgeous and ready for the beach with pineapples. Use this tropical fruit to cleanse and freshen your skin, and this fix is perfect for those with oily skin or acne. Mix 1 cup of fresh pineapple juice (or purée a pineapple in a food processor until smooth) with 2 cups seltzer or sparkling mineral water. Place in a spray bottle and spritz on post-shower.
